Here’s why the first 10 days of listing your home for sale are essential.

The most crucial times during the selling process are the two days before your home hits the market and eight days afterward. The two days beforehand are when you ensure the photos, MLS listing, virtual tour, floor plans, keys, and locks are all ready for when someone wants to come see your house.

In the eight days afterward, you need to keep your property show-ready because first impressions are critical. Those eight days will include a weekend when out-of-towners can travel to see your home. If you don’t have any offers after 10 days, you may want to sit down with your real estate agent and go over the price, photos, and description to ensure everything is suitable. Figure out what’s not working and make adjustments.
